Parentesi Festibala. A Culture to listen to

Parentesi Festibala is an exhibition of contents, channels, platforms, formats, and modes of cultural transmission in the digital environment.

This first edition collects a selection of podcasts and other types of listenable content that, especially after the pandemic, have proliferated and positioned themselves as a new way to access very diverse cultural proposals.

Format

The edition represents a first snapshot, starting with the intention of being expanded – in contents, formats, platforms, and topics – in subsequent editions. Audible cultural content and its industry have proliferated after COVID and are in good health. They are formats with very good acceptance across a wide range of audiences, and it is interesting to pay attention to the creative network, distribution channels, and the audience that consumes them.

Many cultural institutions have their own podcast or radio as a tool for communication and transmission for a general audience, but also for those who do not approach the physical spaces where programming takes place.

It is therefore interesting as a strategy for the diffusion of critical thinking.
