Donostia: Luis Gasca, comic and cinema. Luis Gasca, comic and cinema, The exhibition pays tribute to his figure through his collection of documents linked to the world of comics, which is part of the heritage collections of Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea (KMK).
Through a timeline linked to his presence, interest, and intersection with the world of cinema, the collection of comics and panels that from the 60s to the 2000s formed part of his personal collection is displayed.
For this exhibition, a digital space was created as a digital expansion with the specific content on cinema, and pedagogical videos were produced about several of the comics aimed at explaining in depth the period of their publication and their socio-cultural context, as well as the relevance of the materials and the documentary collections where they are found.
These videos were key for the dissemination of the KOMIKIGUNEA space, since it is a specialized comic area of the library that is little known among the public.
The artist and illustrator Álvaro Martínez Bueno created a poster to represent the importance of Luis Gasca as a collector and the relevance of his private collection, currently deposited in the collections of Koldo Mitxelena Kulturunea.
