Future City Jobs. The Loaf in a box.
Project aimed at rethinking the city by creating new spaces that connect the outskirts with the city centre through the activation of the river. The ultimate goal is to identify opportunity spaces for young entrepreneurs developing artistic and cultural projects, helping to prevent the loss of local talent.
The project’s design process brought together more than 30 young people aged 18 to 30 who, through a game-based methodology, intervened in the city by combining activity models from the Cultural and Creative Industries. The project that emerged from these participatory sessions (The loaf in a box) proposed a flour laboratory that operated for three months inside two containers, promoting a food culture more closely linked to the production of basic nourishment at home. Dough as the foundation for universal basic nutrition.
The containers were explored as flexible spaces—easy to assemble and transport—and as temporary units that could be deployed along the entire Urumea River.
